Eos restaurant san francisco

We didn't feel pressure to eat quickly and did not have to wait very long for our table. The server was excellent, he helped us pick the right amount of food for us, since they have small plates, and the wine to go with it.

It was an overall fantastic experience and I would recommend it to everyone! The food was amazing as well as the dessert The pumpkin creme brulee was to die for! As well as the bananamisu and the chocolate cake!

No hard alcohol, but wonderful wines to pair with the food. Due to circumstance we were a bit late for our reservation. After knowing the business for so long, I know it's a pain when this happens and tables cannot be held.

The hostess did not have to be so RUDE about it. We ended up walking around to the wine bar where we were greated, offered a table and had a lovely meal with exceptional service.

The lemongrass risotto, the hangar steak and the noodle cake plates were the favorites but nothing beats the dessert. We had the creme brulee, the jasmine chocolate cake and the cardamon chocolate mousse cake and all three were so good we did everything but lick the plate. We loved everything we had and we had everything! The shintake mushroom dumpling were amazing. The curry potato cake with a pink bernese sauce unbelivable! Wonderful beef filet and save room for the delicious desserts.

We had the bananamisu',grat presentation, lovely flavor as well as the authentic panna cotta. If you love chocolate don't miss their mousse. We love he cozy wine bar and their ""flights"". Great discovery, my first choice from nowon! Service need a little improvement. Waitress are somhow distracted and forget to get orders from everybody or they just walk away while you are still ordering I can't believe the review I just read about EOS!

I had an amazing time there this past weekend. I thought the food was wonderful and the service was great! We got a ton of attention, our water glasses were never empty and the servers were outgoing and positive. When we had questions about the wine, I found the server quite knowledgeable and ready to help. They were also quite eager to accommadate a diner with food allergies.

I would recommend this restaurant to everyone! Search results are sorted by a combination of factors to give you a set of choices in response to your search criteria. I was clearly sober when this happened. I do think that this place is quite pricey, however I would definitely come back for their happy hour specials sometime!

Lorrie M. I can get regular dumplings with any filling I want in it even mushroom for far less in a far heartier portion and meal. We ordered a bottle of very old wine and had to ask the waiter to decant it, and he looked at me strangely as if no one has ever asked him this before. After fumbling around the place behind the bar and elsewhere probably in storage?

Exquisite food comes in small portions, not normal overcooked fish or steak, although I suppose I should be thankful for the small portions since the food was subpar. It is a cute space though and great for first date impressions I suppose? Dani D. Both my friend and I had wanted to try this place for awhile but for some reason or another kept putting it off.

Thanks to the Groupon gods we had a reason to finally cross the threshold. Grilled artichoke, wild mushroom risotto, duck with applesauce, and sea bass. All were delicious and after a glance at nearby diners dishes, I would venture to say that most of the dishes on the menu are good five stars. My issue with EOS is with the service. It was insanely slow. Then another ten minutes later he did come back. Uh… twenty minutes before taking a drink order.

Are you kidding me?! At this point they had 2. Then we ordered our food, and it took quite awhile to get the first dish. Then after waiting more than fifteen minutes, I finally flagged down someone to check on my duck a good server should have noticed that only one of us was eating and should have checked on my dish without me having to flag down some random food runner. The server was extremely apologetic and offered a dessert to fix the problem back up to three stars… hey everyone makes mistakes.

I would definitely go back here since the food is so good but I hope and pray that we get passable service next time. Rosalind S. A Groupon voucher reminded me of the delicious mushroom dumplings I had here years ago; I had to have them again! My bf and I came on a Thrus during happy hour, even though our voucher was only good for the regular menu.

You definitely need a reservation because by mid meal, the restaurant was full. Be prepared to get cozy because they lack space there. A group of 3 sat right behind me, which was a little awkward since the platform they were on was raised. I felt like they were watching us the whole time. A little paranoid here. These were NOT as good as they sounded. The squid was cut into strips, like french fries. They must have killed a giant squid to get meat that thick!

Although the « tower» lacked height, it was delicious. Well, they got little tiny ones this time and shoved chorizo into them. The shape, with the little fin they left behind made me stop at one. Mmm, mmm good! Oh, so decadent! Although I thought the salted caramel was a tad too salty for me, my bf thought it was perfect. Cathy K. We tried a variety of their Asian Fusion dishes. Tasty, but unmemorable. The one item that shined for me was their Shiitake Mushroom dumplings.

The servers were friendly, knowledgeable and very attentive — perhaps overly so when it came to taking our dishes away. PS : Their dishes are like plated art. Good place to treat yourself or a loved one. Shirley T. Apparently I can give out another half star or else I would. The atomosphere was very nice and enjoyable especially after work. A lot of the appetizers were also half off but I thought they were very small.

I would come again for the oysters and drinks though. Mona C. When you come here, definitely put aside some time to look for some parking. Mona had the Virgin Pina Colada. They are a warm, soft, sweet, and savory comfort food that melts in your mouth with a rich velvety sauce. For starters, the fresh focaccia and sourdough breads, baked fresh daily by Chef Guerrini, fill the restaurant with their delicate salt and yeast smells. Then there are the Ahi Tuna and Salmon poke rolls, with fish is so tender they went down with pleasure for even the most fish-phobic of our group.

The Dayboat Sea Scallops combine all the textures and flavors our palettes delight in discerning: a salty crunch, tangy smoothness, and a hint of sweetness in the creamy broth. As with everything else on the menu, they are perfectly balanced works of food art.
