We wish we could do it all again with YOU by our side. You will forever stay in our family, wedding memories and lives forever!! Thank you!
We had the pleasure of Lisa officiating our wedding in May She is professional, warm, gracious and really cares about creating a ceremony that is unique and special to the couple. From our first meeting through our special day, Lisa put our mind at ease and calmed our nerves. She is great at capturing the essence of your partnership and has a wonderful personality as well. Highly recommend — also important note, her attire does not distract from your wedding or photos. Classic black, a chic New Yorker which I completely appreciate as those small details really matter to a perfectionist like me.
Thank you so much Lisa for being a calm force in an otherwise nerve-wracking process. You made our ceremony truly special. Lisa was an amazing officiant for our wedding. She went above and beyond in many ways and I would highly recommend her to anyone interested in having a wonderful ceremony!
From our first conversation with Lisa, we felt confident we had found an officiant we could trust to oversee our ceremony. Would strongly recommend to anyone seeking an officiant in New York. Lisa was a joy to work with. Without her, who knows where we would be!
Her professionalism helped give us structure and guidance, and her ability to learn and get to know us helped the ceremony feel personal, and really encompassed who we were as a couple. We received complements all night and are still receiving them on how amazing Lisa was. Lisa was wonderful.
She adapted to our situation effortlessly and was a calming and supportive presence through the whole process. She provided expert knowledge and made our day emotional, exceptional and special. We did not expect it but we were brought to tears by her kind and insightful words and stunned by her willingness to help out any way she could.
I could not say too much on how large a role she played and how indispensable she was. Highly recommend. We had our marriage in NYC. It was a great experience. Lisa is very nice. She was so friendly with us. Thank you so much Lisa! The best wedding officiant! A Covid wedding with only 10 people is not what we expected for our special day, but Lisa made it perfect.
Going above and beyond, Lisa created an intimate and romantic ceremony, with a few giggles thrown in. There was not a dry eye present or among the many family members and friends zooming in. Days later we continue to receive emails about how awesome our ceremony was, and we can only thank Lisa for that. It was absolutely perfect! Lisa takes pride in her work. She was a pleasure to work with and took great measures to learn about our family, making the ceremony that more personable and heartwarming.
She not only made the entire process easy but made our most special day the most memorable and one we will never forget. We highly recommend Lisa. Thank you, Lisa, for everything. WOW, there is no better wedding officiant than Lisa.
Lisa is gracious, kind and empathetic to her couples. She truly wanted to get to know myself and my husband and understand what brought us together as a couple. Amidst all of the craziness in the world, Lisa took the time to slow down, listen, learn and watch us as a couple. A few days before the wedding, my husband and I decided to do a virtual ceremony for all those who were not able to attend. Lisa embraced our change of plans and delivered a ceremony that was engaging to all those watching physically and virtually.
It was absolutely spectacular, and we have gotten endless compliments on how beautiful and genuine Lisa made our ceremony. Lisa — thank you from the bottom our hearts! From the moment we met her we knew Lisa would be the right officiant for our wedding in New York City. She took the time to really get to know both of us personally and to understand our story and transform that into a loving tribute that awed both our family and friends at the ceremony. We especially appreciated her kind and caring approach to details and her understanding that we had cultural values like our tea ceremony that were just as important to our ceremony.
In addition she helped us pay tribute to those most dear to us that were no longer with us and honor them in a special way. If you are getting married in NYC, you definitely need to consider Lisa as your officiant.
She is sure to make your wedding an extra special day! If you are getting married and you are lucky enough to have Lisa as your officiant, your day will be phenomenal. My husband and I, as with many couples, had planned to get married in We were fortunate enough not to have to change our date, but many plans had to change.
Lisa took the time to meet with us and get to know what made us who we were as a couple and that flawlessly translated during our ceremony. Although one thing I am certain of is that Lisa will make your day unforgettable!
This was our third wedding plan due to Covid and I was so grateful that Lisa was available to perform a ceremony for us as we made new plans to get married in Central Park, even with only a few weeks to do so. She was helpful and patient as we made our decisions. Lisa created a perfect ceremony. She really listened to our story and customized the ceremony so that it felt special and unique to us. Our guests kept commenting throughout the day about how impressed they were with our officiant- she seemed to really know us!
Lisa was professional, organized and most importantly, kind. She reminded us that our wedding ceremony should be true to who we are as a couple, and we could not have been more pleased with our decision to work with Lisa and have her play such a crucial role in our special day.
Highly recommend Lisa as an NYC wedding officiant! We had a Zoom call with Lisa leading up to the wedding where we got to know her and she got to know us and our story. She also talked us through the process and answered all our questions so we knew what to expect.
Lisa made our ceremony feel very personal to us, made us feel comfortable throughout, and the energy and tone she set was exactly what we were looking for. Lisa was astonishingly organized as she helped us build the ceremony from scratch and allowed us to customize and make the ceremony our own. She continuously helped ease our nerves with her expertise in the planning process and again the day of our wedding. She is especially calming, kind and professional.
We did not have any amplification. Each and every one commented on how lovely Lisa was and how perfectly clear she was. We are extremely grateful to have found and worked with Lisa and cannot recommend her enough. Thank you Lisa for such a heartwarming experience to begin our marriage with.
I have known Lisa for many years, and I have always known that I wanted her to marry me — even before I met my husband!! Lisa is warm, comforting, funny and spiritual.
She is a great listener and a great storyteller. She engages all of your family and friends, while making the best day ever really become the best day ever! Lisa patiently coached Matt and me through two date changes, and then two ceremonies on the same day enabling both families to be safe and distant… not an easy task.
She did this all with ease, professionalism and incredible patience!! Thank you Lisa for starting us off on our new life as Mr. We are so grateful to Lisa and would recommend her in a heartbeat. She was a model of stability, always reminding us to stay focused on what was important when we felt overwhelmed by the details of wedding planning.
She managed to show a genuine understanding of our relationship and values and share that with our loved ones in a truly beautiful and eloquent and fun! We received endless compliments from our guests about the ceremony, something we feel is quite rare and very special. Lisa was recommended to us by our wedding planner. She was the perfect officiant for our wedding. We were organising everything from the UK and Lisa was so flexible. She took time to get to know us and our story.
Thank you for making this so special for us and for keeping us calm and checking in regularly. What a magical experience for us to get married in New York at Christmas! We traveled from the UK and Lisa was recommended to us months in advance.
We could not have honestly asked for a more perfect officiant! Lisa was kind and heartfelt with the delivery of the ceremony. She had taken time to find out all about us via Skype calls and gave us a wonderfully customized experience. She took the time to carefully construct the wording to give us the soul and romance that we were looking for. We would recommend anyone looking to take their ceremony in New York to the next level please pick up the phone and have a conversation with Lisa Traina.
Working with Lisa was a dream. For the two of us, our ceremony was the most important aspect of our wedding. We wanted to bring together our different backgrounds and incorporate family traditions. Lisa made this all happen. Accompanied across the Atlantic by a flotilla of ships, the painting had never before left The Louvre, except when it was stolen in and whisked off to Italy for a few years.
More than a million people came to the Met to view it in person before it was brought back to France in a matter of weeks. This entry was posted on March 18, at am and is filed under Disasters and crimes , Music, art, theater , Upper East Side.

I was a kid at the time but I kind of remember that viewers were given a very short time to actually look at the painting — something like 30 seconds — before being told to move on.
The school dragged us uptown to see it but I have no recollection of it at all…Must of been in the 6th grade and tried to stay away from my nun and hardly ever succeeded. Real monsters teaching us Art Appreciation…Gimme a break! Ha Ha! Stay out of their way….
I saw it, briefly. We had moved out to LI by then, but we went in to see that. My mother brought us, I think. I was 3 years old my father brought us to see her.
It was his passion for the masters and his excitement for art that drove him to do what he did. I have a memory of this. Maybe it was his description that gives me the memory. I can feel him lifting me and I can see her face. Just came across this lovely video concerning the Mona Lisa!!! The person who they are talking too was my father Joseph Lasky a New York cabbie who drove his own cab until the day he passed away.
He arrived at am to get in line and was the first person in NY to see the lovely Mona Lisa. Visit the online public benefits screening and application tool. City Council, 51 Members. Public Advocate.
