Schnucks memphis

Food does not taste like mexican. Everything tastes store bought. The place in general is filthy and dark. The white cheese dip tastes like spoiled…. Cons Short breaks, horrible management, terrible pay. This was my first job. There is no PTO, overtime, floating holiday, benefits… literally anything you may desire from a job. Go elsewhere. Pros Leaving work. Cons Arriving at work. Schnucks is probably a better place to work as far as grocery stores go. In general the management had a much greater sense of humanity and compassion than others I've worked for.

I guess the prime downside is that they expect a lot out of you for a little pay. I was hired on as a Porter. The position was for hours. I ended up receiving anywhere between hours. Manament threatened me when I was sick multiple times even though I explained I haven't been able to afford my medication due to not getting atleast 25 hours.

After walking out they continue to threaten me about losing my next job. Pros It's easy. Cons Horrible management, deceitful hiring.

Louis, MO - August 25, The company is fine if you're young in highschool looking for a job but other than that, this is not a place to make a career out of. When I worked there you needed to work hours to get a cent raise. Not worth it in my opinion. It's a job. Don't go in expecting to be satisfied with all the menial tasks and hit-or-miss managers. People are constantly leaving with no hope of the positions being filled up. The pay is not competitive with anything nearby.

Stay away. Pros It's a job. It's not a hard or bad job depending on location, my issue is they change management often which comes with different rules. People come and go. Pros snacks in lunchroom. Cons 15 minutes even enough time to eat on breaks. Low pay, difficulty getting enough hours Bagger Former Employee - St. Louis, MO - August 19, I worked at Schnucks as a bagger, and actually enjoyed the position with a few caveats. It was fun to help customers and there was a lot of flexibility as far as when you want to work.

The pay wasn't that great though. I liked the people there, and felt that the management was supportive. You also have to belong to the union, which means extra money comes out of your paycheck every week. Pros Good people, fun job. Cons Low pay, not enough hours. Every person who trained me was incredibly helpful and understanding, but once things started getting hectic because of the pandemic I became overwhelmed. Schnucks as a company did exactly what they should have done as far as the obvious mask mandated in the store, every register had cleaning, sanitizing spray, and hand sanitizer.

The plastic dividers went up very quickly. I just assume there was a lack of workers and communication. But I was already overwhelmed with working through the pandemic and all of the mayhem with the state of the world. I just think it was hard for them at the time to separate life and work for some of us workers and that became really stressful. Bluff City Life. About Us. Meet The Team. Editorial Board.
