Each of them is very different, in academic and social interests, and all of them have found success at Bowie. At first I was nervous about having my kids attend such a large school, but believe me all of my kiddos have been known by their teachers. And there are so many great programs that it really does seem like there is something for every kid. One of my kids has special academic needs and I have been very impressed with the way the school helped him transition from middle school. He is now really pretty self sufficient and as a junior, he has the best grades he has ever earned.
Parent Review 4y ago. Small Middle School. The one redeeming thing is that the fine arts program we have experience with both band and orchestra is excellent. Students grow as musicians, find challenges, and develop a love for music. If not for band and orchestra, we'd have left years ago. The tech academy has also provided classes that were interesting to our kids. There still wasn't much academic challenge in them, but at least they were interesting.
We are zoned for CSMS but are sending our younger kids elsewhere due to the negative social environment, frustrations with the administration, and lacking academic rigor. Parent Review 1y ago. Baldwin Elementary School.
Fairly awful. We hope things can get better. New administration is needed. Surrounding schools are better, but that can change if we get more progressive leadership and a stronger PTA. It is very safe and everyone is neighborly and kind. Great place to have dogs as well.

Dogs, people, location is great! Never moving! We have a tight feeling of community. Great neighborhood public schools.
