It's been a great many years as your executive officers - we've had biweekly journal clubs, outreach events, socials, and a Boston-wide conference.
It's now time for you to step up to the plate and lead the way forward! Being on the Photonics Executive Board is a great opportunity for leadership and involvement in the community.
Many of us have had a chance to travel for free to various conferences. Next Tuesday August 22 , instead of journal club, we're having a vote for the new executive committee. There will still be pizza and fun discussions, never fear! So please join us even if you are not running.
If you'd like to run, please send a paragraph with a short biography and any ideas you have for the photonics club to photonics seas. You can run even if you cannot join on August 22 - someone will represent you, just let us know.
Details about the different positions are below. The broad responsibilities for each position are listed below, but the actual responsibilities will depend on who wants to take part in which roles. The goal is that if enough people take on responsibilities, the time for any one person to commit will be minimal.

We invite you to submit abstracts if you are working on photonics-related research, regardless of whether you are an undergraduate, graduate student, postdoc, or industry researcher! If you have any artistic images from your research, do submit them for the Science as Art competition!

Harvard SEAS Photonics Club is a student-run organization whose mission is to educate students on research related to optics and photonics.
