Very Mediocre — Before they redid the place, LaGuardia was okay food in a restaurant with tables on top of each other. Since the rehab, the seating is much more comfortable, but the okay food has declined to poor.

None of the food has any flavor. How can ropa vieja with tomatos, onions and peppers have no flavor? Somehow they manage. The only food worth ordering are the beans. Both the red and black beans are very good. Why go here when Cafe Bolero is only a few blocks away? Overpriced, Lacks Authenticity — Unfortunately, this place didn't live up to our expectations.

What could have been a good dining experience was sorely lacking in authenticity. The menu featured the broad strokes of Cuban cuisine but missed the finer details in its choices. There were also too many "Americanized" concoctions clearly designed for people who don't know the difference. The restaurant clearly had a trendy feel. Nice decor, beautiful, friendly wait staff but, dining is about the food.

I did have a good mojito but it and everything else was overpriced. The food was mediocre, at best. Who ever heard of not serving "maduros" with an entree at a Cuban restaurant.

You had to request them, pay extra and then they were undercooked and cold. If you are looking for authentic Cuban, try Sabor a Cuba. The service is poor but, who cares, the food is great, authentic and cheap. Great food, great service, great price! The ropa vieja is to die for! My husband loved the mojitos and I couldn't stop eating the tostones.

Some of the food is americanized, but it is still very delicious, the wait staff was attentive and very friendly. The decor is beautiful and it was easy to find parking even on a Friday night. Plus, the prices were very reasonable! Atmosphere and food all in one place! It is cozy and so welcoming. The service and food I recommend. A great place to go with a small group of people. The drinks are a little pricey, but worth it. Everyone will enjoy themselves! Their will be at least an hour wait on the weekends.

The decor is vivid and lush, and the service was very attentive. I was made to feel as if I was part of the Cafe Laguardia family, and I appreciated the efforts made not only by the staff, but by the owner and his mother venturing throughout the crowd to make sure that their guests are properly attended to.

Not your grandmother's picadillo Picadillo with giant chunks of green peppers??? And the tostones were like leather. My grandmother would have marched into the kitchen and taught the cook a thing or two. And who ever heard of Cuban nachos??? I'm so tired of Cuban restaurants that add Tex-Mex elements in an effort to make it seem familiar to Americans. The result is just a mess. Great food, terrible service — If it's worth it to you to be ignored, rushed, given the wrong items and spend hours on your dining experience, then by all means try Cafe LaGuardia.

The food is truly outstanding - I drool at the thought of it, however the servers tend to ruin the experience. Great Atmosphere - Okay Food — This place is intimate, with a great atmosphere, and outdoor dining on the sidewalk. They don't take reservations on weekends, but my party of 3 was seated quickly at PM on a Saturday.
